This is an awesome story. This is something that you certainly will not see everyday. There are so many instances nowadays where coaches are seen yelling at the umpires, or players charge the mound, that this makes the story that much better. Even in the heat of an extremely important game these girls were able to see beyond the emotion and make an amazing act of kindness. I think that this type of behavior should be celebrated as much as any record reached. There was instance like this in a soccer game where the goalie got hit in the face and was down and instead of shooting the ball into the net the striker picked up the ball in order to see if the keeper was ok. For me I think that these acts are more impressive then anything that you will see during the normal run of play.

This is a sweet blog and an unbelievable story. It is honestly nice for there to be news that shows what good is left in this world. I an athlete as well know how hard it is to lose. I cannot even imagine the type of person that would offer to carry her especially on the other team. Some times the lesson learned it much better than the best possible outcome. Something very similar happened to the sailing team on Sunday. At 9 AM in Bristol the regatta was about to be called and straws would be drawn to see who would attend Nationals. We said no, there is wind at Tabor and we can be functional in 30 minutes. All 15 teams drove to Tabor we held the regatta and did not qualify. Mr. Hurd pointed out that the big thing to walk away with was that we made the opportunity for all the teams to sail so we did not have to draw straws, and we did it in 30 minutes. It hurts to lose, but is good to do the right thing sometimes.

That is amazing and deserves to be on the national television.
I do not know if other athletics in different sports would react the same. Sportsmanship is almost dead in today’s sports but this is a fresh change. People need more news like that. As you said in your blog, we are sick and tired of murders, and robberies on the news. To be honest I do not watch softball and I am not going to start now, but I think softball should be introduce in Europe and other continents because it is really fun to play. Good luck with the rest of the season at Tabor.
